Sheila grew up on the Lower Mainland, moving to Gambier Island in 1992. There she began to create photographic greeting cards and paint small wooden pieces for the local Craft Fair. Having merely dabbled in painting and drawing previously, she gained experience through this craft work, expanding to acrylic paintings on paper and canvas when an annual island Art Exhibition was launched in 1994.
On moving to Gibsons in 2004, she switched to nature photography, with a special interest in wildlife.
Sheila has produced Plants of the Sunshine Coast, a 2-volume binder set including 300+ photos, for the Iris Griffith Centre in Madiera Park. Her greeting cards and Wild Sunshine Coast calendars can be found in outlets from Gibsons to Garden Bay.
